This Class will be kept to a enrollment of a maximum of 3 students per class for Covid safety and also for a lot of individual attention. I am fully vaccinated. Students are asked to wear a mask. I will also be wearing a mask. Everyone will practice social distancing. Tables, chairs, sewing machines, and equipment will be disinfected prior to each class session.

Adults as well as Children are welcome in this class. An additional option for this class is for an adult to register with a child and they can work together on a project, although adults and children can enroll as an individual students. This is a class for beginners or more experienced sewists that want to tackle a more demanding project. You will learn how to find your size in a pattern, layout your pattern, proper pinning, cutting and pressing, how to thread and sew on a machine using basic stitches and finishing techniques. This class can be repeated many times, making a slightly more advanced project each time.  A pair of PJ bottoms, easy tote bag or a simple skirt are good beginning projects. More advanced sewists can bring a project and receive help. This is a class that can be taken many times, increasing the difficulty of the project each time. Please bring your sewing machine if you have one, or machines will be provided.

"Great introduction to sewing after at least of 25 years of not touching a sewing machine. Barbara is patient and careful and teaches her students how to do things correctly, offering many shortcuts and much advice. Great class!" Vickie Zatkin
